Gotta love a Gospel singer named “Swoop”
Well, it’s not everyday ChristianMusicDaily.com gets news of an artist named Swoop. Haven’t even heard him sing, but with a name like Swoop Brown we thought you should know of him. His album, “Confessions of a Believer,” on Area 44 Entertainment/ Universal Music Christian Group, is R&B Gospel music. Swoop believes that worship is a direct connection to the Lord.
“When you tap in through worship anything can happen. People are healed, delivered, hearts delivered, hearts are changed, and people get saved. It’s awesome how God moves so mightily through music,” says Swoop.
Swoop Brown started in the entertainment business as a teen singing and playing instruments and soon began to write and produce music. Eventually the Southern California native and his long time production partner formed a production company that managed to secure deals with Motown Records, Capitol Records, Q-West/ Warner Bros., Sony Music and UMGD. Swoop’s music also appeared on multi-platinum CDs, soundtracks and video games.
With vocal talents and range reminiscent of the legendary Luther Vandross, Brown takes “Confessions of a Believer” and puts lyrical praise with much “passion and soul” over contemporary R&B tracks exceptionally well. Selections include “Can’t Get Enough,” “To Whom Much Is Given,” “Your Will,” and “Amen.” Listen for the radio single “Praise You” in the weeks to come.
