Shake The Nation offers new album, Colliding Grace

Before he was the lead singer of Shake the Nation, Mark Marquez was broken and had everything falling apart as he entered the presence of Bay Area Fellowship in Corpus Christi, Texas. From there on out, his life would be changed forever. Seven years later, Mark is now the worship pastor of the Bay Area Fellowship as well as the lead singer of Shake the Nation (the worship band for BAF).

In addition to Mark Marquez as lead singer, Shake the Nation consists of guitarists Aaron Hernandez and Sal Romeros, Paul Schultz on drums, Isai Lugo on bass, Phillip Borden on keyboard and John Leal on the drums, guitar and vocals. Each of them has been broken in the past and their greatest goal is now to reach the lost with their music, especially the younger generations.

With their second and newest album, Colliding Grace, their objective is such and each song was created from the overflow of what had been happening in each of their lives reaching out from Corpus Christi to all over the world. Such songs as “God of the Impossible” and “Bruises and Scars” from this album bring a very raw truth and reality to life and explain how we should push through the hard times of struggle instead of just getting out of it.

“There was one instance where one person told me that they were contemplating suicide at one point in their life, but after to listening to our songs over and over, they ended up coming to our church and defying those thoughts,” explained Mark on how their music has influenced others’ lives.

Throughout the years, Shake the Nation has worked with and opened for some of the most popular Christian bands out there including the likes of Casting Crowns, David Crowder, Jeremy Camp, Press Play, Rachael Lampa, Lincoln Brewster and many more.

As for now, they are focusing their efforts at home spreading the word through thousands of attendees weekly at the Bay Area Fellowship.
