Kari Jobe’s “We Are” song pushes album to #1
Christian music’s rising female star, Kari Jobe, released her sophomore album, “Where I Find You,” today, which hit #1 on the iTunes® overall Albums chart! How popular is this girl? She’s #1 on the Christian & Gospel chart. And her song, “We Are,” is a huge hit, with a YouTube video seen by nearly half a million people. It used to be that young Christian guys hoped to marry Rebecca St. James someday. Now that Rebecca is married, it’s Kari Jobe that the young Christian guys are in love with, from afar.
Kari has been performing live a lot lately, being seen by tens of thousands of people on the Winter Jam 2012 Tour. She’ll continue on that tour ‘til April 1.
About the new album, Kari shares, “These songs come from such a honest place of praising God for what He’s done—and what He’s continuing to do in our lives—because of His grace and goodness. Ultimately, it’s about declaring who He is and enjoying the simplicity of knowing the Lord is near. He’s for us, He loves us, and sometimes, we need to just stop, enjoy His presence and take that in.”
One of the most respected female church worship leaders in the country, Kari’s self-titled debut album released in 2009 and went on to sell 250,000 copies. The new CD is expected to sell even more.
