All Sons and Daughters raise money for Oklahoma tornado relief
All Sons & Daughters are donating all proceeds from their Songs for Oklahoma EP available thru Noisetrade.com. Monies raised will go to Convoy of Hope, which has relief teams in Moore, Oklahoma. Last month, All Sons & Daughters released their first live, full-length CD/DVD entitled “LIVE.” If you like folky male-female Christian pop music, you’ll like All Sons & Daughters.

P. Milton Music in Buffalo, New York, is a home-based recording studio run by Phil Wright. With over 15 years of experience, Phil says his studio is his ministry to help Christians record their songs at a reasonable rate, with a high-quality product showcasing their efforts.
Phil’s house in Buffalo is filled with music instruments, including a full drum set, and several keyboards. He records all styles of music, including Country, Gospel, Jazz, Blues, R&B, Classical, Pop, Rock and Rap. He auditions the people he works with, though, to make sure their music is about Jesus, for Jesus, and for the Body of Christ, so he doesn’t record non-Christians and non-Christian-oriented music.

Phil is a married father of two, and his wife helps make people feel comfortable when they come to the studio as hostess. His son plays drums well, and his daughter is a capable background singer, should you need one for your recording. A piano player at heart, Phil took piano lessons as a youngster thanks to encouragement from his father. Most of the work done to record artists today is done with a keyboard and computer, and Phil is a master of both. In his spare time, Phil enjoys the music of Joe Sample, Jeff Lorber, Tommy Schuman from Spyro Gyra, Tom Coster (from the group Vital Information), and Thomas Dolby.

Darlene McCoy uses a Beyonce song to call out church corruption
Gospel singer Darlene McCoy has made a video in the style of Beyoncé’s “Irreplaceable” song, talking about a reverend using the congregation’s money to go to strip clubs and be a “baller.” I’m not sure what to think of this; it’s kind of sad when someone in the Gospel community has to do a song like this, because it indicates there are enough bad pastors out there stealing people’s money and not living a Godly life. Ruth Dente
Ruth Dente is a Canadian worship leader with a new solo release called “The Call.” Connected with Morning Star Voices, a family worship band, Dente keeps busy as a songwriter and vocal coach as well. She first began singing and songwriting at the tender age of five-years-old. Since then, she’s had the opportunity to travel the world, ministering the Gospel through music in Europe, the Caribbean, Africa, the USA, and Canada.

Christian music’s Finding Favour
The Christian music band Finding Favour with guitar legend Phil Keaggy
Monday night, Finding Favour showcased an incredibly moving performance of their Top 25 hit, “Slip On By,” at the 35th Anniversary ASCAP Christian Music Awards. Inspired by a conversation between lead singer Blake NeeSmith and his grandfather, the lyrics from the song is what drew acclaimed artist TobyMac to Finding Favour stating – “it grabbed my heart and stirred some emotion in me that made me want to live differently.”
