The newest release from Vineyard Records UK, The Lamb Has Conquered, features the best new worship songs birthed and recorded live in Mercy Vineyard, Southampton, UK.  The recording is set to release simultaneously Nov. 22 with two of Vineyard’s best-selling albums, Come Now Is The Time and Hungry, re-mastered and together for the first time in a special two for the price of one package.

Since its release in March 1999, Hungry has gone on to become Vineyard Music’s all time best-selling album. Hailed as one of the most significant worship albums to have ever been released, this album has impacted the worldwide church with many of the songs being translated into several different languages. Proceeds raised through the sales of this album have helped fund orphanages in South Africa, plant churches in over 40 nations and train pastors for effective ministry in today’s modern church.

“I knew the project was special, but I don’t think any of us anticipated what a warm response this project would receive from the Church around the world,” says Brian Doersken, producer.  “I just feel really blessed that by the grace of God I was able to be in the middle of it, watching and listening to what God was doing all around me in the heart of Vineyard churches in the UK and Ireland, and in the hearts of these precious worshippers.”

Hungry followed the 1998 release of Vineyard Music UK’s first-ever worship recording, Come Now Is The Time, that sparked one of the best known worship songs in today’s modern church, “Come Now Is The Time To Worship,” written by Doersken.  Originally released in the USA under Vineyard Music’s Winds of Worship label, Kingsway is now offering Come Now Is The Time and Hungry in a Two For One package for $13.99.  The package features both albums re-mastered and complete with printable chords, lyrics and the piano scores, as well as interviews with worship leaders and songwriters such as Brian Doerksen, Brenton Brown, Kathryn Scott, Michael Frye and Graham Ord.

The Lamb Has Conquered follows in this legacy of Vineyard recordings, offering 12 dynamic new worship songs of truth, courage, empowerment and hope for believers worldwide. Opening with the battle cry of the title track, the album sets out with the powerful message that our war has already been won, and proclaims who God is and what He did on the cross. The album then moves into an acknowledgment of the power of the Lamb and ends with the anthemic, “Worthy Is The Lamb.”

With all songs written by Mercy Vineyard’s Kate Cooke and brothers Mike and Jamie Pearson, these “sung prayers” are dynamic, guitar-driven and passionate musical offerings.  In addition to songwriting, Kate sings lead vocals on select tracks while her husband, Jimmy Cooke (Beautiful, Verra Cruz), handles producing and playing drums.  Sam Gibson (Delirious?, Hillsong UNITED, Newsboys) mixed the album at Chapel Lane.  Other musicians/worship leaders featured on the recording include Sam Lane (Beautiful, All From You), Marc James (Surrender, Verra Cruz), Nigel Hemming (Great Big God, Hungry) and Henry Cross (All From You, Verra Cruz).

Worship leaders around the world and anyone interested in learning to play the new songs on The Lamb Has Conquered can receive free video tutorials at http://www.songteach.com and free chord charts and lead sheets at http://www.vineyardrecords.co.uk/thelamb/.  This Vineyard site also features a video story of the new album and includes interviews with Mike Pearson (Mercy Vineyard sr. pastor), Jamie Pearson and Kate and Jimmy Cooke. –Mark Weber
